Lady Lazarus

Lady Lazarus is Melissa Ann Sweat.
Taken from the Sylvia Plath poem of the same name, Lady Lazarus began in 2008 when Melissa started teaching herself keyboard, and writing and recording songs while living in San Francisco. Inspired by a cross-country train trip, she moved to Savannah, GA in the fall of 2010 and toured along the East Coast and Southeast in support of her self-released debut, Mantic. The album received breakthrough press, including a 7.8 review from Pitchfork, and praise from Stereogum, One Thirty BPM, PopMatters, the Journal of Music, and more.
Lady Lazarus is currently residing in Los Angeles, and has just released her latest album, All My Love In Half Light. And she is our artist of the month for February, sorry you get the short month - nothing personal.

And great stuff it is.

Check out this great track from the new album.

Wonder, Inc.

A live acoustic version of this cool tune, from her previous album Mantic.
