This is the first of an occasional series of "notable" interviews.
Generally they will be culled from TV chat shows, from either side of the pond.
They may or may not involve musical personalities.
Why are they "notable"? Well like anything else it's all in the eye of the beholder.
So me being the beholder in this case they are interviews I saw at the time, or sometimes after the fact, and they stuck in my mind for one reason or another.
This first one is a young Helen Mirren being interviewed by (or interviewing) Michael Parkinson.
Many accused him of being sexist, or was it just the times?
You be the judge.
If he was, I think Helen more than put him in his place, in a very classy way. Gotta love it.
This interview is in two parts and comes from 1975.
Here's part two.
