Dakha Brakha

Today I give you something totally different, and amazingly beautiful.

Unless you are Ukrainian you won't understand a word of it, but I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Daha Braha ( Daxa Braxa, Dakha Brakha, DakhaBrakha ) is a Ukraininan band playing "ethno-chaos" music.
The name DakhaBrakha is original, outstanding and authentic at the same time. It means “give/take” in the old Ukrainian language.
They also have lady singers who make achingly beautiful vocal sounds. Just totally amazing.

Dakha Brakha are :
Marko Halanevych - vokals, darbuka, tabla, didjeridoo, accordion, trombone
Iryna Kovalenko - vokals, djembe, bass drums, accordion, percussion, bugay, zgaleyka, piano
Olena Tsibulska - vokals, bass drums, percussion, garmoshka
Nina Garenetska - vokals, cello, bass drum

First up check out this, excellent as ever, Take Away Show from LaBlogotheque.
