Theresa Andersson (born 1972, Gotland, Sweden) is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who currently resides in New Orleans.
Theresa came to New Orleans in 1990 to play violin with fellow singer-songwriter and Swede, Anders Osborne. Nine years later, she left the band.
Since then, Andersson has performed and recorded with several well known New Orleans Musicians, including Allen Toussaint, The Neville Brothers, The Meters and Betty Harris.
In 2007, she accepted an invitation to participate in Goin' Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino, where she performed "When The Saints Go Marching In" with The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Andersson has performed Late Night With Conan O'Brien and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and has been a performer at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans.
So we have our Scandinavian beauty with the vocal and intrumental talents we associate with that area of the world, setting up in the music capital of America.
Great idea.
And what music she makes.
Sunday afternoon, kick back and enjoy.

Let's take a trip in the wayback machine for an amazing performance.
Oh Mary On Sunday, February 28, 2010, Theresa performed live at the Le Petit Theatre, with very some very special guests, including the legendary musician, composer and producer Allen Toussaint.
The performance was recorded for Theresa's DVD, "Theresa Andersson: Live at Le Petit", and features Theresa's breath-taking "one-woman band" (wink!) performing an extended set of old and new music, including some exclusive material never before released.
Some more one woman band awesomeness
