Metaphorest is the mythical moniker of singer/songwriter Sarah Daly and the umbrella under which she makes music (and writings).
Metaphorest is an Irish lady, currently residing in Scotland, who plays guitar and sings about things like capitalism and cupcakes.
Her influences include Kate Bush, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Joanna Newsom and the infinite mystery that is life.
Metaphorest is the possessor of one of the most beautiful voices I have heard in a long long time. She also has an amazing knack at picking beautiful videos to illustrate her wonderful music.
And what music!!! Some of it is just too beautiful for words.

Empire Empire is an experimental song built out of a reversal from a French lullaby I wrote called 'Le Petit Soldat.' It explores the suffering of children forced to endure the consequences of war, our supposed justifications for fighting and man's inhumanity to man.
