Villa Delirium

Villa Delirium is a group who is combining eerie traditional folk songs of Germany, Ireland and the Balkans with murder ballads of the American South, along with their own startling compositions, Villa Delirium, is a four piece ensemble whose uniquely ethereal sound creates a new acoustic Gothic music.
Tine Kindermann: Voice, saw and violin. A German chanteuse/visual artist, Tine’s recent credits include performing in Berlin with Iggy Pop.
John Kruth: Voice, guitar, mandolin, banjo and flutes. Kruth has 9 solo albums, co-leads the world music ensemble TriBeCaStan and has worked with Allen Ginsberg and Violent Femmes.
Kenny Margolis: Accordion. A member of Cracker and TriBeCaStan, Kenny played in the late great Willy Deville’s band.
Doug Wieselman: Bass clarinet, clarinet, bass harmonica. Doug has worked with Antony and the Johnsons, Lou Reed, Tricky, Laurie Anderson, Syd Straw, Steven Bernstein and Kamikaze Ground Crew.
And they are just too, too amazing. Gotta go, gotta find me their album. You hang around and give them a listen. All of these songs were Performed at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC.
A big thank you for the videos to Anthony Pepitone.
If this band doesn't blow you away, check your pulse.
