Olenka and the Autumn Lovers are a band out of London Ontario and they consist of:
Olenka Krakus - Lead vocal, classical guitar
Sara Froese - Violin, vocals, percussion
Simon Larochette - Trumpet
Kelly Wallraff - Cello, vocals, percussion
Daniel Mancini - Drums
Fronted by Polish singer/songwriter Olenka Krakus, the band's sound is reminiscent of classic country and folk music, with a strong European influence in both lyrical and melodic form. Named after Krakus' favourite season, the Autumn Lovers are a large, often rotating collective of musicians, many of whom explore musical outlets of their own as members of the Open House Recording Company (Oh! Records) family. The band's use of diverse instruments (including cello, violin, accordion, trumpet, saxophone, lap steel, mandolin, and glockenspiel) provide a unique musical backdrop to Krakus' sophisticated, often narrative form of songwriting. ....more
