Audra Mae

Here is a young lady with a beautiful voice. At one point in The River I almost swore I could hear Doris Day.

The River

So then as ever I was off looking for a bio or something to find out more about this wonderful singer. And one of the things I spotted was that she sang the cover of Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" that was featured in "Sons of Anarchy". Now I remember that episode and thinking at the time what a wonderful rendition of a great song. So I had to find that.

Forever Young

Thanks to AragornSparrow for at the very least uploading this video, and maybe even for making it.

And then for our last track by Audra today here she gets bluesy. Now I know I mentioned Doris Day above, but think more along the lines of Patsy Cline, Eva Cassidy, Judy Garland. Nah! fugheddaboutit! she has totally her own voice, and it is impressive.

Oklahoma-bred singer-songwriter Audra Mae’s debut album isn’t due out until May, but her anthem “Who I Was Born to Be” already has sold 1.8 million copies.
The Putnam City High School graduate penned the only original song on Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle’s debut album “I Dreamed a Dream.” Boyle’s record has topped the Billboard 200 charts for three weeks; only Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” has moved more units in 2009. [Bams]
