The Grand National 2007

Here it is the greatest Steeplechase in the world. From Aintree, near Liverpool England. The Grand National is a race with 30 fences over a four and a half mile course. As ever somewhere through the race the David Niven book
Bring on the empty horses comes to mind. He wrote the book based on a comment from Hungarian director Michael Curtiz who was looking for a bunch of riderless horses for a battle scene.

Elvis and Celine duet

Last night on American Idol Gives Back show, they produced Elvis Presley and Celine Dion singing a duet of "If I can dream". Not sure how they did it. Obviously some sort of hologram, but it was very well done. I wonder what the audience there saw?

Hokey Cokey in the style of Kraftwerk

Imagine Kraftwerk playing the Hokey Cokey!! Bill Bailey can. Definitely spot on. And funny, did I forget to mention funny.

Mr T says get some nuts

I think the guy in blue fancied himself as Rodney Marsh. Rodney of course never needed a Tank to get him up on his feet, just needed to know the commercials were over (this of course when he played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies).

6 Drummers in an apartment

Check out the wonderful improvising on the percussion beat. This clip comes courtesy of ZappInternet which is a Spanish language video feed site. This clip needs no translation. Which is good, since my Spanish is non existent beyond ordering a beer.

Map My Name

Here's a fun thing. I wonder if he will hit his target of counting the number of people who are using the internet within the month? Help him out, no charge. Could be fun. Check it out here. is it me, or does he sound a bit like Borat in the beginning?

Thou Shalt always Kill

Check out Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip "Thou Shalt always Kill" video directed by Nick Frew
Available now as a digital download I am really digging this one. Must be the old Brit in me.
Thou shalt not question Stephen Fry !!! I agree with that one too.

Peanut Butter 1 - Evolution 0

According to this "Expert" lack of signs of life in a jar of Peanut Butter proves evolution is not true!!! What next, therapy to cure gayness? I guess Darwin never got to eat a peanut butter and banana sandwich.

Junior Soprano writes to Cheney

Art imitates life. Junior has a very good point, but make sure to read the reply.

Ricky Gervais explains Nursery rhymes

If your kid is an egg, and your family name is Dumpty, don't call him Humpty. Real good advice.

Tiesto - In the dark

Tiesto, arguably the best DJ in the world. Here's his "In the Dark" with Christian Burns. I think I still prefer some of the earlier stuff. But it's good.

Tori Amos - Big Wheel

Here is Big Wheel from Tori's latest album "American Doll Posse". It has been getting mixed reviews, but personally I love this track.

Oedipus, they call me tater tots

Oedipus Shmoedipus. Sorry Mother didn't mean to upset you. So here it is, the classic we have waited forever for. The story of Oedipus, performed by vegetables, in the lavish tradition of Ben Hur and Spartacus. Directed by Jason Wishnow.

Pizza Party at Fenway Park

The play by play of the flying Pizza is hilarious. Go Red Sox.
These guys were having great fun with it.

Chicken vs Rabbit

Which side you down wiv bro?
Maybe they are all thinking about being Suicide Food, and figured they should have some fun first.

If you are not careful

Ladies and Gentlemen, the next President of the United States, if we are not careful. He sounds about as bad a singer as Ronnie Reagan. But the message is scary.
Never was that fond of the Beach Boys though. I actually thought McCain wore a white hat when he was running against Bush, but now I see he is cut from the same cloth.

Gut Fiddle

Alex DePue excellent violin player, reminds me somewhat of Daryl Way from Curved Air and Wolf.

Curved Air with Daryl Way on Violin plays Vivaldi.

Make your own money

This is what I have been looking for all my life, a way to make my own money!!
If you want to make money follow the link. The guys at Festisite have all sort of fun stuff.
Scan them some money so we can have more selections, they need some of those exotic Euros.

Fishing the hard way

You may be a redneck if you have done any of these things or watch this show regularly. Or you just might find this funny. This guy is either the dumbest guy walking this earth, the unluckiest guy to ever go fishing or the funniest comedian to ever fall in or out of a boat. If it can go wrong, it will.

Elite Law School [Not]

If you really want to know what's going on in Government, watch Bill Maher or Jon Stewart. Sadly this is all too true. Mind boggling, 150 graduates of Messiah College and Pat Robertsons Law School.

Da Svenska Snoop Dogg

There's a Party in Sweden's pants, and this guy explains it. All are welcome. Who said the Swedes were retiring and shy? Nobody I know.
Time to get down for a party in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo or even Ystad.

And in case you didn't get that, here's another one to help you out.

Awesome Band

Billed as the "oldest and greatest rock band in the world" meet The Zimmers. They will be featured in a documentary on the BBC in May. Here they do a very good version of "My Generation".
The lead singer is Alf who is 90 years old.
Hope I die before I get old.

The Girl Can't Help It

The Girl Can't Help It, from 1956 has finally made it to DVD. Check it out for some of the best in Rock n' Roll from the 50's. Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Little Richard, Fats Domino, The Treniers, etc. A fun movie, and a very good print.

2.19.2010 - The original video I had here was removed by the suits. So here is someone else reviewing this great movie.

This was one of my favorite rock n roll movies, I saw it 19 times the week it came out in England.

The Purrfect Comedy

You gotta laugh at this lot, getting into trouble, something I never do. But how did that one get in the chicken in the first place?

Empty vessels make the most noise

Why does that old English proverb come to mind? Seems to me many of the "news" channels equate volume with intelligence, whereas in reality it is the opposite. Having said that I'm betting these two went out and has a beer together afterwards to celebrate another ratings grabbing show. Though why anybody would watch Fox news is beyond me.

I guess the agreeing is over, but this is an older clip. I would be curious to see Keith Olbermanns take on the current state of Fox and O'Reilly. At least I believe that Keith Olbermann has values.

Alanis cool version of "My Humps"

We need a musical break this morning, and I had heard about this yesterday, but stumbled upon it this morning. Alanis Morissette does a very good version of Fergies, My Humps. Enjoy.

Updated 5.14.2013 for the usual reasons.  Disappearing accounts on YouTube.

Trust the Government

Trust your government. Very funny, with a sad tinge of truth. Make the tax guy look better, get the drugs info in. Heh Heh!

It's only a game

The funnier side of football (soccer to the un-enlightened). My favorites are the ones involving the stretchers.
