Wimoweh through the ages

Friday afternoon, time to try out some versions of Wimoweh. Make sure you sample the last one. Karl's version has always been my favorite. It was a big hit back in the UK in 1961. I think the Kingston Trio version was around 1959. But back in the day if a good song came around everybody and their uncle would record it.

The Hippo - cute

The Beatbox version

The Dance Mix version

The Tokens - the big hit

Karl Denver - the ultimate version

He didn't say that, did he?

Money buys you a war? Money is Trumps peace? Whatever way you look at it, he is giving the game away.

The Good Old Days

This message from back in 1952, ignoring the irony, rings true today. Time to clear out the crooks, cronies and the not too bright.

Move over Jethro, or not

Here comes beatboxing flute player Greg Pattillo

But Jethro Tull (Ian Anderson) could stand one one leg and do it, and of course beatboxing had not yet been invented. So he couldn't have been doing it could he.

Both entertaining performers.

Not ready to make nice

5 Nominations, 5 Wins, so who care about Country Music stations? Who listens to Country Stations anymore. But this was one great performance by three young ladies who can surely sing, and they have the right sentiments. This just goes to prove there is still some good music being made.

What happened to this movie?

This should have been mandatory viewing all around the country. We have to do something before the Justin's and Britney's of this world destroy all semblance of real music. Sadly last night even the great Tony Bennett gave a shout out to his sponsor on the Grammys. Although there was some good moments on there, to maybe give some hope there was a lot more dross.
So check out this trailer then run to the store (or online) and order the DVD.

I am so deluded

I thought this was a horse, but it was just something the scientists created. (But my age was still in single digits then).
Did you know that all miracles in the current day and age happen in rehab?
Look at all the people going to rehab lately, it can cure you of alcoholism, gambling, racism, homophobia, promiscuity and the most recent I heard about is that gayness can be removed from you in about 21 days, ask Pastor Haggard. He had fallen into the homosexual path, but had totally regained the hetrosexual highway after three weeks of rehab!!!
Anyway check out this video, which will help to explain why I am so deluded.
