The final section, for now, of Old Grey Whistle test favorites from my past. Unless I find the Meatloaf, Paradise by the Dashboard Light. This has to be the best version ever. If you find it, don't miss it. Sexxxxy. Anyway I digress, today I give you a couple more of my favorites. First up Dire Straits, this was I think the first time I heard them, I rushed out next day and bought their album. I was that impressed. The other thing this song did for me was to enlighten me. The line about "London, down south" was the first time I got over my upbringing that I was born and lived in London, the center of the known universe. It finally sunk in that it was just a city in the southern section of the British Isles, albeit the capital.
